Had an appt today at car doc on the island as supposedly rear differential was leaking. The estimate close to $800. Received a call this afternoon, when out at the pool, that once they cleaned it found that only the plug was defective saving me several hundred dollars. One of the men at the pool who is an engineer and previously worked for one of the major Detroit car companies said something like an honest garage as they could have easily just replaced.the plug but charged you for the whole thing, and because i’m completrly illiterate as far as motor vehicles go, i would have never known the difference!
